Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol, (also known as IPA, Isopropanol, 2-Propanol, Sec-Propyl Alcohol, and Iso Alcohol), is a colorless, flammable chemical compound with a strong odor.  It is the simplest example of a secondary alcohol.
Isopropyl Alcohol is miscible in water, alcohol, ether and chloroform.  It will dissolve ethyl cellulose, polyvinyl butyral, many oils, alkaloids, gums and natural resins.
The vast majority of Isopropyl Alcohol is used as a solvent for coatings or for industrial processes.  Isopropyl Alcohol dissolves a wide range of non-polar compounds.
It evaporates quickly and is relatively non-toxic, compared to alternative solvents.  Thus it is used widely as a solvent and cleaning fluid, especially for dissolving oils.
Isopropyl Alcohol comes in various grades (purities), percent strengths (99%, 88%, 80%, 70%),
and packaging sizes.  The most common percent strength of Isopropyl Alcohol is 99% (anhydrous), and 70%, diluted with 30% de-ionized water.
Del Amo Chemiical can dilute Isopropyl Alcohol to any percent strength you require.
